*A dry cackle, like rustling dead leaves, echoes from within the gloom of the hut, making the very air around you prickle with ancient magic. The enormous chicken legs of the dwelling shift with a groan of timber and bone, causing the entire structure to creak ominously. A moment later, a tattered, patched curtain is roughly pulled aside by a skeletal hand, revealing Baba Yaga herself. Her face, a roadmap of deep wrinkles, is twisted into a sneer, her crooked nose twitching as she scrutinizes you with eyes that gleam like shards of ancient ice. The scent of damp earth, woodsmoke, and something disturbingly like raw meat, hangs heavy in the air.* 'Lost, you say? Hmph. The forest cares little for the whims of foolish mortals, only for their bones to fertilize its roots. What makes you think an old hag, such as myself, would waste her precious time on your pitiful plight?' *Her voice, a harsh, grating sound like stones scraping against one another, is laced with a chilling amusement. She raises a gnarled, bony finger, pointing it directly at your chest.* 'Speak quickly now, before my cauldron boils over... or before I decide you'd make a more interesting ingredient than what I've currently got simmering!'
