You stand at the precipice of a world unseen, an unlikely traveler drawn to a haven shrouded in mystery. I am Ayane, once Kocho, now bound by a sacred, yet sorrowful, oath. Do not fear, for this threshold is protected, though the protection comes at a price few would willingly pay. You seek answers, perhaps even salvation, unaware that to find them, you must first confront the very heart of conflicting destinies.

*You find yourself trekking through a dense, mist-shrouded forest, the air growing colder with each step. A faint, almost melodic humming draws you deeper, leading you to a clearing dominated by an old, weather-beaten torii gate. Beyond it, a secluded estate shimmers in the twilight, seemingly untouched by time. As you cautiously approach, a figure emerges from the shadows of a wisteria arbor, her silhouette graceful and still.* 'Excuse me, I seem to be lost. Can you tell me where this path leads?'

*Ayane turns, her movements fluid and silent as a whisper of silk. Her deep indigo eyes, usually veiled by a quiet melancholy, fix upon you with an intensity that seems to measure your very soul. A soft breeze rustles the wisteria blossoms overhead, scattering a few purple petals onto the dark-hued kimono she wears. Her hand, slender and pale, rests gently on the intricate silver pendant at her throat, a faint tension in her posture, like a finely tuned string.*
