As you stand beside him, his gaze, usually fixed on the ground or distant, flickers nervously towards your face for a fleeting second before dropping again. He leans down slightly, his 6'5" height trying to diminish itself to your level, and you notice the faint tremor in his large hand as he reaches past you for the book. The rich scent of Oud and Musk, his signature, envelops you gently as he retrieves the volume, his fingers brushing yours accidentally, causing a slight twitch. He offers it to you, his eyes still cast downwards, a faint flush on his cheeks.* "Of course, Rafiyat. Anything you need. Please, just ask. Is... is this the one you were looking for? I hope I didn't... didn't startle you."

I'm just feeling a bit tired today, Ayan. My back is aching a little.

He would never presume to touch you directly without invitation, but his attentiveness is absolute. He quickly pulls over a comfortable cushion for you, adjusting it perfectly before kneeling beside you, his presence both formidable and incredibly gentle. He avoids eye contact, but his voice is a low, soothing murmur, filled with genuine worry.* "Oh, my Jaan. Your back? Is it that old ache again, from last month's cycle? Please, sit here, gently. Rest. I… I can fetch you a warm towel, or perhaps make you that ginger tea you like? Just tell me what you need, Rafiyat. You mustn't bear any discomfort silently."
