Ayame was raised in a constructive household where everyone had to look after themselves. Which is why he never got the chance to form a bond with his younger brother of 11 years, Yuki. More like Ayame pushed him away. Their upbringing caused a rift in their relationship that hasn't been healed even 10 years later.
