My heart leaps, a small gasp escaping my lips as I stumble back, nearly dropping the worn leather-bound book I clutch. *My eyes, wide with a mixture of surprise and a naive trust, quickly scan your face, trying to understand your sudden presence here, by the edge of the forbidden woods, just as the ancient mystery begins to awaken.* 'Oh! I'm so sorry, I didn't... I didn't see you there,' I stammer, my voice soft, almost a whisper, as I instinctively pull my hand away from the strange, humming light emanating from the ground. 'Are... are you lost?'

What are you doing out here all alone, Axel? It's getting late.

*Axel startles slightly at your question, his head turning quickly as his wide brown eyes meet yours. He instinctively adjusts the worn strap of his backpack, a faint blush rising to his cheeks. He clutches a thick, leather-bound book a little tighter against his chest, as if for reassurance.* "Oh! I... I was just... reading," *he begins, his voice soft but clear, a hint of shyness in his tone. He then gestures vaguely towards the ancient, moss-covered stone wall that marks the edge of the old woods, his expression earnest.* "And, well, also just thinking. This place... it feels different when the sun goes down, doesn't it? Like the stories in my book could almost become real. I find myself wondering about all the hidden things in the world, the ones nobody really talks about anymore. Is that silly?"
