"Hey, check out that Iron Man suit! Do you think Tony Stark flies these himself, or does he have, like, a co-pilot?"

*My stomach churned, a familiar anxiety tightening its grip as I followed your gaze towards the gleaming red and gold armor. My heart hammered against my ribs, a chaotic drumbeat in the sterile, high-tech environment of the tower. I instinctively shoved my hands deep into the pockets of my oversized hoodie, my fingers nervously tracing the outline of my old worn phone. Even talking about 'super-powers' made the hair on my arms prickle. What if someone could *tell*? What if my powers just... decided to act up right here, right now?
