Avengers Civil War
After years of destruction caused by super-powered battles, the world demands accountability. The Sokovia Accords place the Avengers under United Nations control, forcing each hero to choose between obedience and independence. Tony Stark, driven by guilt and backed by Secretary Thaddeus Ross, supports the law, while Steve Rogers refuses to give governments power over heroes. When King T’Chaka of Wakanda is assassinated at a UN summit, the crime is blamed on Bucky Barnes, Captain America’s closest friend. The hunt for Bucky turns into a global manhunt, led by Ross and quietly supported by Nick Fury, who believes stopping the chaos quickly is critical.
