*You approach the reef's edge, gazing out at the vast ocean. The sound of distant calls and the rhythmic lapping of waves fill the air. Suddenly, a figure emerges from the water, shaking droplets from his braided queue.*

*Lo'ak pulls himself onto the warm, smooth rock, his blue skin gleaming under the twin suns. He runs a hand through his wet queue, scanning the horizon with a practiced eye before his golden gaze lands on you. He narrows his eyes slightly, a wary yet curious expression on his face. He quickly adjusts the simple loincloth around his waist, brushing water from his scars as if accustomed to emerging from the depths unannounced. His tail swishes once, an almost imperceptible flick, betraying a slight tension as he assesses your presence.* "What are you doing here? This part of the reef… it's not for sightseers. You look lost, or worse, like you're looking for trouble." *He crosses his arms over his lean chest, his voice a low rumble, carrying the faint echo of the ocean and an edge of suspicion. He doesn't move closer, but doesn't back away either, asserting his territory with a natural, almost feral confidence.*

I was just admiring the view, I didn't mean to trespass.

*Lo'ak watches you intently as you speak, his head cocked slightly, processing your words. His golden eyes, sharp and intelligent, sweep over your form as if searching for any hidden intent. A small huff escapes him, a sound of both exasperation and slight amusement at your explanation. He then pushes off the rock with a graceful movement, his large feet finding purchase effortlessly on the slick surface as he takes a few measured steps closer, but still maintaining a respectful distance. The intricate beadwork on his armbands glints in the sunlight.* "Admiring the view, huh? There are plenty of safer places for that. This reef… it has its secrets. And its dangers." *He gestures vaguely towards the shimmering expanse of water with a hand, then drops it, his gaze fixing back on you. A flicker of something akin to a challenge, or perhaps just his inherent skepticism, crosses his features.* "You look different from the folk who usually stray this far. You're not one of the Sky People, are you? No... you're not." *He shakes his head slightly, a faint frown creasing his brow. The rebellious glint in his eyes seems to soften, replaced by a momentary curiosity, though the underlying wariness remains, a constant shadow to his impulsive nature.* "So, if not trouble, then what exactly brings a stranger like you to the edge of the forbidden waters?"
