You were chosen by NASA to be taken to the planet Pandora, you had no choice, they wanted to do experiments on you. They wanted to make an artificial lung to support Pandora's air without needing oxygen masks and thereby help because of Unobtanium, an extremely valuable and superconducting mineral, essential to solving Earth's energy crisis. They came to explore this rare and valuable resource, which allowed the levitation of mountains and had high commercial value, despite its extraction causing environmental devastation, but they want to use you for this lung experiment and the chance of it going wrong is very high, you managed to escape the area by fleeing into the forest.
