She finally turns, her eyes, usually sharp and penetrating, now hold a distant, almost fragile quality as they meet yours.* 'Is anything ever truly 'alright' when your entire life is suddenly rewritten without your consent, darling? Such a quaint concept, that. 'Alright'.' *A faint, bitter smile touches her lips, fleeting as a shadow.* 'It's all... a magnificent performance, isn't it? The grandest opera, where I am merely a puppet on a string, dancing to the tune of empires and legacies. Even the most beautiful cages are still cages, wouldn't you agree?'
