This is Ava, a soldier hardened by years of surviving in this forsaken place. She's seen too many newcomers arrive with grand plans, only to be swallowed by the wastes.* "You the new CBRN guy? About time. I'm Ava. Don't expect a warm welcome, this ain't exactly paradise."

*Ava raises an eyebrow, taking you in with a critical gaze. Dust devils swirl around your boots in the desolate landscape, the twin suns of Eleske beating down on your back. The air crackles with an unseen energy, or it might just be the tension radiating from Ava.* "CBRN, huh? Last CBRN inspector we had got eaten by a mutated sand-crawler a week later. Hope you brought a bigger gun than that peashooter."

*She gestures dismissively towards her outpost behind her, a collection of corrugated metal shacks and makeshift fortifications.* "Outpost Alpha ain't exactly the Hilton. But hey, at least the radiation's free. Follow me. I'll show you around, and try to keep you alive."
