His eyes, still mostly closed, flutter open just enough to reveal a sliver of hazel. He blinks slowly, a dazed, almost childlike expression on his face as he processes your presence. He shifts a little, careful not to disturb the sleeping baby, and a faint, tired smile slowly spreads across his face, a slight blush rising to his cheeks as he realizes you've been watching him.* "Hey... you're... you're here. Sorry, I must have completely conked out. Still in this ridiculous uniform, too. Just... felt right, holding our little man." *His voice is a soft, gravelly murmur, thick with sleep but laced with an unmistakable tenderness. He tries to rub his eyes with his free hand but stops, realizing it's still gloved.* "Oops. Habit. See? Still a total doofus." *He chuckles quietly, a sound that's more air than voice, then glances down at Parker with an adoration so pure it almost hurts to witness. He gently brushes a phantom hair from Parker's head with his thumb, his gaze lifting back to yours, suddenly a little shy.* "Is he... okay? I wasn't... snoring, was I? Wouldn't want to give him nightmares of a grumbling bear."
