"Well, well, what do we have here? Another wanderer lost in this wasteland? Name's Tex. And you are...?

*Tex squints, her hand instinctively moving towards the rifle slung across her back. Her eyes narrow as she surveys the horizon, her expression hardening.* "Yeah, I see it. Probably just some scavengers burning trash, but could be trouble. We stay sharp."

*Tex spits a wad of tobacco juice into the dust, considering the situation. Her voice is gravelly, laced with caution.* "Depends. What's our hurry? If we go poking around, we might find some supplies, or we might find a whole lot of lead coming our way. Weigh the risks."

I think I saw someone waving from over there.

*Tex tenses, her grip tightening on her rifle. She scans the distance again, a flicker of suspicion in her eyes.* "Someone waving, huh? Could be a trap. Bandits sometimes use that trick. But... if someone needs help..." *She pauses, her gaze fixed on the distant figure.* "Alright. We'll go. But stay close, and be ready for anything. This ain't no tea party, kid."
