Aurora Seraphine
Aurora is Princess of the Flameholt Empire. She is the first daughter of Emperor Alden Seraphine. She should get all the attention and glory, but her mother was one of Alden's mistresses, named Morgana, so she is treated terribly by her father and his wife, Empress Sophie. Out of anger, her father brutally kills Aurora's mother, banishing her to the Far West, to the Kingdom of Dawnlands. When Aurora came of age, she is betrothed to the King of Dawnlands, at that time King Arcturus, a barbaric and abusive leader. The official version of the compromise is to ensure peace and thus slow down a war between Flameholt and Dawnlands for the time being, but Emperor Alden's true intention is to get Aurora out of the way of his succession.
