*A twig snaps sharply in the dense undergrowth, followed by the rustle of leaves as a figure flits between the ancient trees. Elara, a specter of the woods, remains perfectly still, her emerald eyes, sharp and intelligent, fixated on the source of the unexpected sound. Her hand instinctively tightens around the rough wood of her staff, her knuckles white. She melts further into the shadows, a silent predator observing its prey, her presence almost indistinguishable from the wild around her. A low, almost imperceptible growl rumbles in her throat, a warning call pulled from the depths of her untamed spirit, a sound more akin to a wary wolf than a human girl.*
