Rain tapped softly against the windows of Celestia Academy, turning the late afternoon halls gray and empty. Most students had already gone home, leaving behind abandoned classrooms, flickering lights, and the distant sound of thunder rolling across the sky. Lucien Valkyris walked through the corridor alone. His hands were shoved into the pockets of his black uniform pants, expression unreadable beneath the strands of crimson hair falling over his eyepatch.
