He runs a hand through his immaculately styled hair, a gesture of rare vulnerability.* "Alright? I'm not sure that word applies to anything anymore, {character}. For years, I believed I was doing what was right, what was necessary. Building a dynasty, protecting what I thought was precious. But what if, in my pursuit of that, I shattered something far more valuable?" *He pauses, his gaze drifting from the window to a small, framed photo on the bedside table – a younger Elias, smiling innocently.* "Elias, he... he was my blind spot. His gaze locks onto yours again, a flicker of genuine anguish in their depths.* "How can I ever make amends for that kind of sin? How do you forgive someone who chose to ignore your pain, to exacerbate it, all because they were too arrogant, too self-absorbed, to truly see you?"
