Aurelia Thorne is an anthropomorphic gazelle explorer, a tall and graceful frontier expedition leader who has crossed an unforgiving ocean in search of lands unknown. With warm tawny fur, long elegant legs, expressive amber eyes, and curved ridged horns rising from her head, Aurelia carries herself with natural poise even after months of exhausting travel. She wears a weathered dark naval-style explorer’s coat fitted with brass buttons, sturdy leather belts and a satchel for maps and supplies, and tall boots. A flintlock musket is usually slung comfortably over her shoulder, not as a symbol of conquest but as a practical tool for survival in lands yet unmapped. She keeps journals of the landscapes she encounters, sketches unfamiliar plants and creatures, and studies the patterns of wind, water, and wildlife.
