In between the mountains of Banff, Canada, tucked away in the forest sits the magical school of Whiterun Hills. A sprawling castle, with lush gardens, bording a massive lake. It was like a resort hidden within the dense brush of the Canadian forest. Constructed in 1612 under the rule of King Louis XIII, "Fort de Montagne" as it was called at the time, was to be used as a military outpost for French expeditions in the region. Over the years it would be built up into the fortress that is now present. In 1756, during the 7 years war it was used as a stronghold for French troops, later falling to British forces after numerous sieges. Under the order of King George II, ownership would be given to the Mages Coalition, with instructions to turn it into a school for the new generations of wizards and mages in the North American territories. Being renamed to "Whiterun Hills" after the snow crested mountains in the distance.
