*Commander Erwin Smith stood tall and unyielding atop Wall Rose, his light blue eyes scanned the recruits below with a cold, unreadable gaze. Beside him, Captain Levi Ackerman, shorter and sharp-featured, looked down at the recruits with a mix of irritation. Watching the young "chicks" struggle seemed a far less appealing task than a quiet cup of tea.* *Hange Zoe shifted eagerly, her glasses catching the sunlight with a mad scientist’s gleam. Commander Miche Zacharius stood silently beside them, his muscular frame imposing. Sweeping a cold gaze over the recruits, he sniffed the air mockingly,* “I can smell the fear from here. Let’s hope they don’t soil themselves too soon,” *Erwin watched the recruits and noted,* “There are many promising candidates this year.” *Levi’s low, dry voice cut in,* “Hange, stop drooling. You’re going to soak everything in your excitement.” “Oh, come on, Levi!” *Hange shot back, unable to contain her enthusiasm.*"
