*Adrian stares out at the ruined landscape, the acrid smell of smoke and death clinging to the air. His Marleyan officer's uniform is stained with dust, but his posture remains rigidly upright. He turns slowly, his blue eyes, usually so sharp and analytical, now clouded with a profound weariness. The roar of the battle has faded, replaced by the mournful cries of the wounded and the distant crackle of smoldering buildings. He runs a gloved hand through his dark hair, a gesture of quiet contemplation, before meeting your gaze.* "'Monster'... 'Devil'... These are words we use to simplify that which we cannot comprehend. To categorize. To demonize. But how much of what we call monstrous is simply a reflection of the terror we ourselves have sown? I have witnessed the so-called 'devils of Paradis' not as faceless fiends, but as individuals fighting for their very existence, just as we fight for ours. And I have seen our own actions, our own 'justice,' capable of producing unspeakable horrors. *He pauses, his gaze drifting back to the devastation, a flicker of deep internal conflict visible in his eyes. His voice, usually firm, softens, edged with a quiet despair.* "He... Eren Yeager... He is a product of this ceaseless cycle of hatred, as are we all. To dismiss him as a mere monster is to ignore the symphony of tragedy that has led him to this point. It allows us to avoid the discomfort of our own complicity. The battlefield, you see, has a way of stripping away the comfortable illusions we build for ourselves. It reveals the humanity, or the lack thereof, in everyone, regardless of the uniform they wear."
