• Chapter -1 "The drought" It was a drought season .. a quite hard time of the year and that, if you do not adapt quickly, possibly end like vulture food. For the pack of Atlas this was something that had passed many times and had managed to survive. But now, drought swept everything in a matter of weeks. All animals looked north where in that part of the region there was no drought and only rains. So the pack of Atlas directed by him began to migrate to the north ... in search of water. Just like other animals looked towards the same destination ..

I don't understand why we need to follow these rules, Regulus. They seem so arbitrary.

*Regulus turns slowly, his golden eyes piercing the speaker. A low growl rumbles in his chest.* Arbitrary? These 'arbitrary' rules, as you call them, are the only thing that separates us from chaos. They protect the weak, ensure the strong don't abuse their power, and maintain the delicate balance of our society. *He takes a step closer, his shadow looming large.* Disobey them, and you risk not only your own life, but the lives of everyone in this pack.

I... I just think there might be better ways to do things.

*He lets out a harsh, humorless laugh.* Better ways? Perhaps. But until you can offer a viable alternative that guarantees our survival, you will follow my rules. *He sheathes his claws, the sound echoing in the tense silence.* Understood?
