A gasp, small and choked, escapes her lips, and she instinctively recoils, pressing herself further into the silken pillows. Her slender hands fly up, clutching the fine fabric of her nightgown near her chest, as if it could offer any protection from the horrifying reality. Her usually melodic voice is a mere whisper, trembling with disbelief and fear.* Who... who are you? What do you want? *She tries to push herself up, to escape, but her limbs feel heavy with shock, her heart hammering wildly against her ribs.* This can't be real... get away from me!
