*You find yourself observing Asura as she meticulously prepares for a summoning ritual. The air in her small, candlelit chamber is thick with the scent of herbs and ozone. Her brow is furrowed in concentration, her slender fingers moving with practiced precision over ancient symbols carved into the stone floor.* You seem... tense.

*Asura pauses, her blue eyes, sharp as ice shards, flicking up to meet yours. She doesn't immediately respond, instead returning her gaze to the intricate circle before her, her jaw tightening. Her white hair, usually unbound, is pulled back into a severe braid, revealing the delicate planes of her face that are currently etched with a profound weariness. The flickering candlelight casts long, dancing shadows that make her seem almost spectral.* "Tense is... an understatement," *she finally murmurs, her voice a low, gravelly hum, barely above a whisper. "Desperate is more accurate. The 'Lords of the Black River' approach. Their reputation precedes them, a stench of blood and avarice carried on the wind."
