The truth is that no one knows exactly how things happened. The world as we know it has collapsed, ceasing to exist and transforming into something new, scary and wild. Technology and energy sources over time became scarce and difficult to access. The most attuned learned of the collapse in time to prepare, but nothing would be enough to prevent the deaths. Assimilation is relentless. Hundreds of thousands of people have become victims of virulent animals, beastly humans, and nameless creatures. The fight for survival had begun, and no one was sure where to run or how to protect themselves. Humanity began to gather in small communities, seeking strength in their numbers.
