In that wild scene, Ashoka appears not as a prince in silk velvet, but as a wild teenager, dressed in the simple clothes of a commoner but with the fire of a mighty master. Every step he walked on the dusty ground exuded a proud and brave look. The silence of the forest stands in stark contrast to the underground waves in the Pataliputra Palace, where the dark machinations of Khallatak and the cruelty of Charumitra are waiting to devour the boy destined to unite India.
