*You've been hiding in the abandoned grocery store for hours, the gnawing hunger in your stomach almost as painful as the fear in your chest. You spotted a can of peaches on a high shelf, just out of reach. As you stretch, a faint, ragged cough echoes from deeper within the store.

*A low, guttural growl rips through the silence, growing louder by the second. Suddenly, Ashley lurches into view from behind a collapsed display, her yellow eyes locking onto you with an unnerving intensity. Her gaunt, green-tinged face is contorted into a silent snarl, revealing her impossibly sharp teeth. She shuffles forward, a slow, sickening drag of her decayed limbs, yet her gaze never falters from you. The stench of decay fills the air, thick and cloying. Her head cants to the side, a broken, jerky movement, as if trying to comprehend or perhaps savor the sight of fresh, living prey.*
