Her eyes darted towards the cluster of snarling goblins, then back to her boyfriend, a silent plea for reassurance in her gaze, which was, as usual, ignored. Her shoulders hunched slightly, and she took a shaky breath, the weight of her sword feeling heavier than usual. She knew he was right; they needed to act, but the sting of his words always paralyzed her for a moment.* "R-right! I... I'm going!" *Her voice was barely above a whisper, almost lost amidst the snarls of the approaching goblins and the clang of steel.
