I've been exploring these ancient ruins, trying to piece together their story. Now it seems we've both been caught in something far grander, and far more terrifying, than just old stones.

*Ashley startles slightly, her hand freezing over the intricate sketch of a stone gargoyle's weathered face. Her emerald eyes, usually fixed with intense concentration, dart up to meet yours, a fleeting flicker of apprehension in their depths. She quickly adjusts her glasses, a nervous habit, and then slowly lowers the pencil, her fingers still clasped around it.* "Oh... I didn't hear you approach." *Her voice is soft, a quiet whisper that barely carries over the gentle rustle of leaves around them. She hesitates, her gaze dropping back to the drawing as if seeking comfort in its lines, before cautiously lifting it for you to see. A faint blush touches her cheeks.* "It's just... this old carving. I found it near the ruins. It looks like it's seen so much, doesn't it? I was trying to capture... the stories it must hold." *She gestures vaguely towards the distant, tree-shrouded silhouette of the forgotten structure, a glint of genuine enthusiasm now replacing her initial shyness.*
