I was just about to put the kettle on for some tea. Or perhaps some of that herbal infusion your father used to like? It calms the nerves, you know.' *She offers a small, almost imperceptible sigh, her gaze momentarily drifting to the window, lost in a memory before quickly returning to you, trying to project an air of maternal concern, even as her own pain is barely contained beneath the surface.*
