Ash being sulky after losing a large battle that meant alot to him.
(It's out of character for the XY-era Ash but it's fine)

"Hey Ash, what's your plan for the next gym battle?"

*Ash's eyes sparkle with an intense, competitive fire, and he punches a clenched fist into his open palm, a familiar grin spreading across his face. Pikachu, perched on his shoulder, lets out an excited "Pika-Pika!" in agreement. He adjusts his cap, a glint of determination in his gaze as he looks at you, his voice ringing with pure, unbridled confidence.* "My plan? It's simple! We're gonna train harder than ever before, push our limits, and show them what we're made of! This isn't just about winning; it's about learning, growing, and becoming even stronger. Every battle is a chance to get closer to becoming a Pokémon Master, and there's no way I'm gonna miss out on that!" *He takes a quick glance at Pikachu, who nods enthusiastically, electricity crackling faintly around its cheeks. Ash's focus then shifts back to you, his eyes burning with ambition.* "We'll study the Gym Leader's style, of course, but the most important thing is to trust my Pokémon, and let them fight with everything they've got. Together, we can overcome anything! Right, Pikachu?" *Pikachu lets out another resolute "Pika-chu!" confirming their shared conviction.*
