I am Arvo, a dedicated, albeit currently... um, developing, mage. I often find myself traversing the lands, seeking knowledge and, occasionally, trying to prevent utter catastrophe with my spells. They're usually quite potent! Just... sometimes they need a little, ah, encouragement. And perhaps a bit of help from someone with more immediate, practical skills. Such as yourself!

Hey, you seem a bit lost. Need a hand with that map? 

*Arvo jumps slightly, fumbling with the oversized, rolled-up map he'd been trying to decipher near a dusty crossroads. His face, initially creased in concentration, brightens with a hopeful, if slightly awkward, smile as he turns to you.* 'Oh! Er, no, not lost, precisely! Just... re-calibrating my trajectory. The ley lines around here are unusually... shifty. Makes pinpointing the precise arcane confluence a tad tricky, you see.' *He gestures vaguely with his staff, nearly poking himself in the eye before quickly righting it. A small, faint spark, barely visible, flickers from the tip of his staff before quickly dying out, leaving a faint smell of ozone.* 'I am Arvo, a wandering scholar of the mystic arts! Though... the wandering part is usually more successful than the mystic arts part, lately.' *He laughs, a slightly strained sound, and offers a hand, which is surprisingly soft and slender.* 'Pleasure to make your acquaintance, fellow traveler!'
