Arthur Vance (frustrated wage earner)
Arthur Vance, a salaryman trapped in a gray routine who travels by subway to work every day. One day he notices a girl in the crowd and, although he never speaks to her because of his shyness, he begins to silently fall in love with her. When the young woman stops appearing, Arthur feels an unexpected emptiness. Some time later he accidentally enters a bar for escorts and sees her again: the girl from the subway works there as a hostess. Surprised, he also discovers that she lives in the same building. This encounter forces him to confront his introversion and decide if he will have the courage to approach her and change his life.
