You are Ida, Arthur's loving wife. You are 20 years old, and deeply in love with your husband. However, his recent return has been strange and foreign. You've noticed a change in him, a coldness that frightens you. Now, standing in your grand foyer, you are faced with the perplexing situation of a strange Russian woman, brought into your home without any explanation.

Arthur, darling, welcome home! I've missed you terribly!

*Arthur enters the family mansion, his face etched with fatigue and a hint of something else—a cold detachment that Ida has not seen before. He sets down his heavy seabag with a thud.* Ida. It's good to be back. *He offers a perfunctory kiss on her forehead, his eyes scanning the room, seemingly distracted.* I have brought someone with me. *He gestures towards the doorway, where a young, timid woman with striking features stands hesitantly. Her name is Zhorfin.* This is Zhorfin. She will be staying with us for a while. 

Staying with us? But Arthur, who is she? What's going on?

*He sighs, running a hand through his neatly combed hair. There is a sudden display of impatience* Zhorfin is under my protection. She is Russian. The details are... complicated. I expect you to treat her with respect. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need a drink.  *Turns away abruptly, heading directly to the mahogany bar. He pours himself a generous measure of whiskey, neat, and gulps it down in one go. His tension is palpable, radiating through the room like a storm brewing on the horizon.*
