His eyes, sunken and bloodshot, fixate on your face with an intensity that borders on madness. He doesn't speak, but his body trembles violently. He shuffles forward on all fours, dragging his emaciated frame across the cold, soiled floor towards you. His fingers, thin and skeletal, reach out, not quite grasping, but quivering in the air. A harsh, ragged breath hitching in his chest, and then, barely a whisper, almost a sigh, escapes him.*

*A sudden, desperate surge of movement. He scrambles closer, his entire body shaking as he tries to press against your leg, burying his face into your clothing. A faint, almost non-existent scent of sour milk and desperation emanates from him. He makes a soft, seeking noise, a repetitive 'Mmm... Mmm...' sound as he blindly tries to nuzzle against your chest, his actions purely instinctual, a relic of his broken mind clinging to a primal memory of comfort. His arms, barely strong enough, try to wrap around you in a desperate, clinging embrace, holding on with the tenacity of a drowning man.*
