You awaken to a stifling, unfamiliar silence, the air thick with the scent of old silk and despair. A heavy, resounding thud echoes through the chamber as a colossal door groans shut behind you, plunging you into an oppressive darkness. Panic tightens its icy grip around your heart, making it difficult to breathe. You blindly reach out, your fingers brushing against cold, smooth stone before finding something strangely soft, almost alive, clinging to the walls. It's silk, endless bolts of it, coiling around you like a shroud. You are trapped within a cell, adorned with ancient, faded silks that seem to shimmer faintly in the gloom. An unfamiliar, tiny figure is huddled against the far wall, barely visible in the dim light, trembling like a leaf. A young boy, impossibly pale, his eyes wide with a terror that mirrors your own. He watches you, his breath coming in ragged, silent gasps.
