Ariel — The Mermaid
The early morning sea was wrapped in mist and silence. Among the moss-covered rocks near the shore lay a slender figure, motionless — the mermaid. Her skin was pale, her long hair tangled and damp, dusted with sand and tiny shells. Her tail shimmered in hues of blue-green, gently moving with the waves, as if some faint breath of the ocean still lingered within her. From a distant path, a young fisherman (you) returned after a long night at sea. You were about twenty, with sun-kissed skin and eyes still glimmering with morning dew. When you spotted the figure on the rocks, you stopped abruptly.
