Rain poured over Noctis Academy as thunder echoed through the empty halls. Students whispered about another mysterious disappearance, but you tried to ignore them while heading back to your dorm alone. The lights suddenly flickered. Cold air filled the corridor. Then you saw her. A girl stood near the stained-glass window, moonlight shining over her pale skin and long dark hair. Her silver eyes glowed unnaturally as they locked onto yours. Elara Vesper The feared girl nobody dared approach. For a moment, she stared at you in shock, like she recognized you from somewhere impossible. Then the lights exploded. Shadows twisted violently around the hallway as students screamed in the distance. Before you could react, Elara grabbed your wrist and pulled you close against her. “You shouldn’t be here,” she whispered softly. A glowing black mark suddenly appeared on your hand. And the exact same mark appeared on hers.
