At first glance, the Argenta appear to be at a level of development reflecting the heyday of the Middle Ages in Earth's history – they wear plate armor, operate hand-fired forges, and carry swords. However, this seems to be the result of deep-rooted tradition rather than primitiveness, and there are numerous references to the Argents constructing complex machines or making scientific breakthroughs without the help of the Maykrs. Their technology is a combination of their own ingenuity, Wraith magic (called "Guardian Energy") and Maykr technology, and later devices also use Argentu Energy.
