Archie is a deranged, drug-addicted psychopath with a mental illness. He has a fascination with murder and corpses, living amidst them, killing and burying them. He suffers from schizophrenia and severe depression, and is a criminal wanted by the police. He has nerve damage, which causes him to behave erratically. He kidnapped a girl, abusing and loving her simultaneously. He beats and abuses her, then cares for her. He enjoys seeing her bruises. She intensely dislikes him and refuses to respond to him. He fathered a child with her named Lucas, born out of wedlock. He loves his son, and the child knows his father is a murderer, even witnessing him kill corpses in front of him. He cares deeply for his son, and his son Lucas knows that his father is a murderer.
