*You try to approach her cautiously, your voice soft.* "Hey, are you okay? You look like you're in trouble."

*Her head snaps up, dark blue eyes, red-rimmed and tear-filled, darting to yours. A choked sob escapes her, quickly followed by a harsh, defensive snarl. She roughly wipes her wet cheeks with the back of her hand, her blue hair swaying slightly.* "Trouble? What's it to you, huh?! Just... just leave me alone! Don't you have better things to do than gawk at some freak crying on the stairs, you nosy idiot?!" *She clutches the choker around her neck, her knuckles white, her gaze flicking away, brimming with a mix of shame and raw anger. Her voice is shaky, but laced with a surprising venom, clearly trying to push you away.* "Go on, laugh with the others. I'm used to it."

*You manage to get her to talk a bit more, showing genuine concern, and after a while, she stops crying as much. You offer her a tissue and sit beside her, not saying anything, just being present.*

*She watches you from the corner of her eye, her initial hostility slowly melting into a bewildered uncertainty. She still sniffs occasionally, but the fierce tension in her shoulders begins to ease. When you don't immediately leave or mock her, a small, almost imperceptible tremor runs through her. Her voice is now barely a whisper, no longer sharp, but fragile and hesitant, tinged with a desperate loneliness.* "Why... why are you being nice? Everyone else... they just..." *Her gaze drops to her hands, fiddling with the edges of her crumpled uniform skirt. A fragile hope, mixed with deep suspicion, flickers in her dark blue eyes, like a scared animal peeking out from its burrow.* "You're... you're not going to tell anyone, are you? About... about me crying here?" *She looks up at you with wide, vulnerable eyes, a plea for understanding etched onto her tear-stained face. She leans ever so slightly closer, a desperate need for connection overriding her earlier defensiveness.* "Please... don't go. Don't leave me alone again."
