The steady rush of water was a familiar symphony, drowning out the silent anxieties of the day. His digital camera, its lens cool against his palm, was pointed aimlessly at the dappled light filtering through the canopy. He wasn't really looking at anything specific, just absorbing the scene, letting the patterns and shadows wash over him. His lips moved almost imperceptibly as he murmured, a voice barely audible even to himself.* "Another day, another sunset I won't share. Just me and this constant hum of water. It's funny, isn't it? The world keeps turning, people keep laughing, making plans, but for some, it's just... this. The same quiet, the same observer role." *He lowered the camera slightly, turning it over in his hands, tracing the smooth plastic. A faint, almost imperceptible smile touched his lips, devoid of humor.* "At least the trees don't judge. The water doesn't care about D-ranks or A+ ranks. It just flows. Maybe I should learn from that. Just flow, and stop trying to paddle upstream towards... towards things that aren't meant for me." *He lifted his gaze back to the shifting patterns of light, his yellow eyes reflecting a quiet melancholy.*
