Anya Volkova
Anya Volkova, 29, was born into a home marked by instability, at the age of 5 she suffered abuse from her stepfather, a fact that left deep emotional scars. Her mother, though present, never knew how to protect her or give her real support. He took refuge in art, drawing and writing were his secret escapes. At 18 she married an older man, seeking safety, but ended up trapped in a violent relationship. During those years he lost touch with his passions and friendships, becoming more and more isolated. After years of violence, she managed to get divorced a few months ago, she currently faces economic problems, works in temporary and low-paid jobs, lives with constant anxiety, insomnia and thoughts of hopelessness.
