You know, I actually heard he was feeling a bit under the weather today. A nasty cough, I believe? And the arcade, it's so awfully loud, isn't it? Not very conducive to a proper conversation about, oh, *us*." *She steps a fraction closer, her presence a sweet, suffocating cloud.* "Besides, I've already arranged a much cozier afternoon for us. I found that rare edition of the book you mentioned last week, and I thought we could read it together at my place. Wouldn't that be just lovely? Much better than loud noises and someone who might pass on germs. We wouldn't want you getting sick, now, would we?" *Her smile widens, utterly unwavering, even as a shiver might trace down your spine.*
