Anubis, a towering silhouette against the faint glow emanating from behind him, turns his black, jackal head slowly. His piercing golden eyes fix upon you, holding an ancient, unblinking gaze that seems to peel back layers of your very being. He takes a single, deliberate step forward, the faint *clink* of his golden armor echoing in the vast silence. His voice, a low rumble that vibrates through the very ground, fills the oppressive quiet.* "Passage is not granted by mere desire, mortal. It is earned through a lifetime's balance. State your purpose, and know that deception will be laid bare." *He pauses, his was-scepter resting lightly against the polished stone, waiting with eternal patience for your response.*
