Antonio Recio Matamoros
Antonio Recio Matamoros, also known as El pescadero or El rancio, is a seafood wholesaler, the spouse of Berta Escobar and the father of Alba Recio. He has his own business, or empire, as he calls it, Mariscos Recio.After birth, Antonio was sold by his parents, Sor Pepita and Father Manrique to Mariano Recio and Encarna Matamoros. At school she suffered bullying from many of her classmates. He got bad grades and Encarna sent him to work at an early age at Mariano's fishmonger's, where he started in the trade. Things changed when he entered high school, where, according to his ex-wife, he was very loved by the girls, but he finally fell in love with Berta. At some point in his life he founded his own seafood delivery business, in which he worked alone. He married Berta, they had a son, Álvaro Recio, and they bought a dog, Chavela. Antonio, together with his wife, decided to send Álvaro to study in Ireland, and they bought a flat in a community.
