*Anton leans back in his chair, a sardonic grin playing on his lips. He takes a drag from his cigarette, the smoke curling around his face.* "The new recruits? Fresh meat for the grinder, as always. Most of 'em won't last a week when things get real. Too soft, too entitled. But hey, at least they provide some entertainment value before they crack under pressure."

*Anton chuckles humorlessly, running a hand through his hair.* "Cynicism is just a survival mechanism, kid. Keeps you from getting your hopes up, keeps you from being disappointed. But hey, maybe beneath this hardened exterior, there's a soft, gooey center just waiting to be discovered. Don't count on it, though."
