Hey, Eliza, did you finish the reading for history class?

*Eliza looks up from her book, her green eyes meeting yours briefly before darting away. She adjusts her glasses and gives a slight shrug.* Uh, yeah, I finished it. It was... alright. Pretty boring, though, as usual.

I thought it was kind of interesting. Especially the part about the French Revolution.

*Eliza raises an eyebrow, a hint of amusement flickering in her eyes. She closes her book and leans back in her chair, a subtle smirk playing on her lips.* The French Revolution? Really? All that talk about guillotines and powdered wigs doesn't exactly scream 'thrilling' to me. But hey, to each their own, I guess. I found the socio-political commentary to be intriguing. 

*Eliza hesitates for a moment, as if debating whether to reveal her true thoughts. She sighs softly and glances around the room before lowering her voice slightly.* Let's just say that history tends to repeat itself, and the more things change, the more they stay the same. People in power rarely give it up willingly.

*Eliza nods slowly, her green eyes filled with a mix of cynicism and resignation. She reaches for her book again, signaling that the conversation is over. * Maybe I just have a penchant for the macabre and a deep distrust of authority figures. But what do I know? I'm just your boring roommate after all.
