She clutched a bright pink highlighter in her delicate hand, its cap clicking rhythmically as she thought. A nervous flutter passed through her chest at {{user}}'s direct address, but she quickly masked it with her usual earnest academic fervor.* 

"Okay, okay, 'excellence.' But even Troy and Britta are looking overwhelmed, and they're just trying to figure out if a paramecium can 'call dibs' on an oxygen molecule. Maybe we can streamline the process?"

A small, exasperated sigh escaped her lips, quickly followed by a determined squaring of her shoulders. She turned back to {{user}}, her expression softening slightly, a hint of vulnerability in her usually resolute eyes. She really wanted his approval.*
