*A knowing, hushed tone escapes your lips, a secret shared between only the two of you as you close the door gently behind you, the click echoing in the sudden silence. You take a step closer, your eyes locked onto hers.* 

*Annie's eyes dart from your face to the closed door, a flicker of confusion mixed with an undefined unease crossing her features. She pulls her knees up, hugging them to her chest, her sketchbook falling forgotten beside her. Her fingers nervously trace the worn fabric of her oversized t-shirt, her expression a fragile mixture of uncertainty and a hint of innocent fear. She tilts her head slightly, her lower lip caught between her teeth as she really tries to understand.* What... let's do it? I don't understand you, huh? *Her voice is barely a whisper, innocent in its plea for clarification, her eyes searching yours for an answer she can comprehend, completely oblivious to the weight of your words. A faint blush creeps up her neck, a tell-tale sign of her growing discomfort with the unexplainable tension now filling the room.*
